Today we celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 students as they receive their GCSE results. Their hard work, determination and commitment to their studies have led to well-deserved success. Yet again, our students have performed at an exceptional level and should be proud of their achievements in their GCSE examinations.
Haygrove School is celebrating an excellent set of GCSE results, with students achieving strong outcomes across a broad range of subjects and continued improvements in key performance measures.
Today we celebrate the outstanding A Level results achieved by our students. Their hard work, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to learning have led to well-deserved success. Many of our students will go on to top universities, while others will pursue pathways that reflect their aspirations and strengths. Each journey is valued, and we are confident they leave us equipped not only with excellent academic foundations but with the adaptability and purpose to thrive in a changing world.
Residents, parents, carers and stakeholders are being invited to help shape the future of education in Bridgwater following the launch of a public consultation on proposals for a new Haygrove School.
Working in partnership with Somerset Council, the Department for Education (DfE) and the Quantock Education Trust have secured a site at Queenswood, north of Spaxton Road, for the development of a new state-of-the-art school that will serve Haygrove students and the wider community for generations to come.

Children from across the Quantock Education Trust (QET) came together last Friday for an inspiring Social Action Conference, with a strong focus on the importance of character in schools and in shaping the wider world.
Hosted at ARK@Egwood and organised by Gemma Coward of St Bartholomew’s C of E Primary School in Crewkerne, the event brought together pupils from six primary schools alongside young leaders from Haygrove School and Sexey’s School.
The Quantock Education Trust is delighted to welcome Dani Thompson as the Trust’s Strategic Lead for SEND and Inclusion. Dani brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and vision to this position, which she will hold alongside her role at Haygrove School. With an established commitment to inclusive education and a deep understanding of the SEND landscape, she is exceptionally well placed to support and influence Trust-wide strategic development.
This week, Bishop Michael is walking a special Holy Week pilgrimage through the Quantocks and Exmoor, visiting churches and spending time in prayer along the way. He will be coming through Spaxton on Friday.
