  • General Kitchen Assistant (Maternity Cover)

    We are seeking an hardworking individual to take on the role of General Kitchen Assistant. The
    successful applicant will work closely with the Catering Manger and other Catering staff to provide a
    lunch service to our students. Duties will involve basic food preparation, washing and cleaning of
    cutlery, crockery etc and cleaning of tables and serving food cafeteria fashion.

    The hours are part-time for 12.5 hours per week working 12:30 to 14:30 Monday to Friday and 16:30 - 19:00 on a Thursday.

  • Boarding Assistant / Tutor

    We have a vacancy for a House Tutor in one of our boarding houses. Tutors are an integral part of the
    team of each house and share the responsibility for the welfare and pastoral care of the students,
    assisting with basic routines and evening activities. Previous experience of boarding and working with
    young people would be an advantage but not essential. Enthusiasm, empathy and the ability to
    communicate with young people are the most important qualities.

    Working hours are Wednesday’s and Thursday’s 6pm - 10pm

    Responsible for the preparation of food, cooking of high quality meals and some baking, the successful
    candidate will have experience of food preparation in a high production food setting and a good
    awareness of food hygiene and health and safety requirements. An NVQ 2 or equivalent in professional
    cookery would be an advantage but not essential.

    The hours will be 30 hours per week including a 1 in 3 weekend shift and rota to work 1 evening
    per week. Mainly Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 7am-1.30pm /Wednesday 12.30pm - 7.30pm/Friday

    Graduate Boarding Assistant will undertake duties in both boarding and a classroom setting and provide support

    boarding team. Responsible for the welfare and pastoral care of our boarding students, resident house staff
    undertake evening, wake-up and weekend duties providing appropriate pastoral support for those in their care.
    The successful candidate will have the ability to work and communicate with young people, excellent
    organisational and interpersonal skills and the desire and commitment to make a difference to young people’s
    lives and their experience of boarding.

    The working rota includes 3 x wake ups, 3 x evening shifts (3.30pm - 11pm) plus 1 x 6 hour admin day and one day
    each weekend, 2 weekends out of three. Accommodation and meals provided whilst on shift.
