    We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to strengthen our well established Learning Support Team and are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to contribute to building on our success as a department. You will be passionate about students’ learning and you will have the ability to assist the SENDCO and teachers in the development of a programme of work and in the provision of a stable, caring and supportive learning environment, which enables students to achieve their full potential and facilitate their social and moral development.

    Post holders will work with teaching staff in implementing and developing educational opportunities to maximise the learning potential of students with Additional Educational Needs and provide supervision, support and care to students with additional or special educational needs, disabilities and/or learning difficulties.

    This role would include a mix of supporting provision as specified through an EHCP as well as some general
    class support in Key Stage 2.

    The successful candidate will support the class teacher by:

    • Supporting learning under the direction of the class teacher, to include leading 1-1 and small group sessions with learning sequences; supporting additional needs and carrying out timetabled evidence-based interventions.
    • Adapting to the needs of individual pupils.
    • Supporting with classroom duties as required by teaching staff.
    • Supporting pupils to have happy and successful playtimes.
