Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to strengthen our well established Learning Support Team and are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to contribute to building on our success as a department. You will be passionate about students’ learning and you will have the ability to assist the SENDCO and teachers in the development of a programme of work and in the provision of a stable, caring and supportive learning environment, which enables students to achieve their full potential and facilitate their social and moral development.

Post holders will work with teaching staff in implementing and developing educational opportunities to maximise the learning potential of students with Additional Educational Needs and provide supervision, support and care to students with additional or special educational needs, disabilities and/or learning difficulties.

This role may be ideal for a candidate who is looking to develop a career in education or experience the rewards of working with young people. If you think you possess the qualities and experience we are looking for, we would very much like to hear from you.

  • Fixed Term until 31 August 2026, subject to continued external funding
  • Required as soon as possible.
  • 32.5 hours per week and Term Time plus one week (36 working weeks per year)
  • Grade 14 Point 4-6 actual salary range £17,486-£18,044pa based on full-time equivalent £25,185- £25,989pa
