    The Role

  • Exams and Data Officer

    We are seeking a highly organised, pro-active and detail-driven Exams & Data Officer to lead all aspects of examinations and student data across our successful secondary school.

    You will work closely with our senior leaders, teaching staff and external stakeholders and will take operational responsibility for the full examination cycle ensuring full JCQ compliance and ensure the accuracy, quality and impact of our data systems. You will provide data analysis, lead improvements to workflows, processes and system integration and be the first point of contact for staffing support with MIS and data systems.

    This is a key role for someone who is solutions-focused with strong IT and organisational abilities. You will be able to work flexibly with a “can-do” approach and demonstrate sound prioritisation to manage competing demands and meet critical deadlines. You will also be capable of maintaining accurate and robust systems and work ethically to safeguard the integrity, security and fairness of the examination process

    You should also have a commitment and interest in the wellbeing, support and achievement of students with the ability to establish positive relationships with pupils, staff and external agencies.

  • Exams and Data Administrator

    We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented Exams & Data Administrator to support the administration of examinations and student data across our successful secondary school.

    You will support the Exams and Data Officer, teaching staff and external stakeholders with the administration of examinations and school data systems. The role includes assisting with the day-to-day management of the full examination cycle, helping to ensure JCQ regulations are followed, and maintaining accurate student and school data records. You will support data reporting, assist with improving administrative processes, and provide first-line support for staff using the MIS and related data systems.

    This role would suit an organised and reliable individual with good IT and administrative skills. You will be able to work flexibly, manage a varied workload and prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines, particularly during busy examination periods. You will also maintain accurate records and handle confidential information responsibly, helping to ensure examination and data processes run smoothly and efficiently.

    We are seeking a Chaplain placement student to work within our thriving school community, as part of a formation programme supported by the Diocese of Bath & Wells. This placement provides the opportunity to be embedded in the pastoral and spiritual life of a school, while undertaking structured theological reflection and vocational development.

    As a Chaplaincy Placement Student, you will:

    • Be a visible pastoral presence within the school community
    • Support acts of worship and spiritual life
    • Engage with pupils of all faiths and none
    • Assist in chaplaincy initiatives (which may include sport, arts, music, boarding life, or outreach)
    • Participate in reflective supervision and a training programme alongside other placement students to support you in your formation.

    You will remain registered as a full-time student with your university for the duration of the placement year (the Student Loans Company have confirmed that, as these are placements in a care setting, students will be able to apply for full maintenance support for the duration of the year).
