We are looking for a highly inspiring leader with a successful track record of strategic planning, leading school improvement and business development.


The ideal candidate will be able to motivate and lead a strong senior leadership team and demonstrate the impact of their leadership on schools, pupils, parents, staff and communities. Experience of establishing formal collaboration between schools and academies will be essential.

General Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Stogursey School for a well-organised and enthusiastic individual to join our supportive and committed team in a busy and varied role.


You will primarily provide support to the Office Manager with the effective operation of the main administration office and to carry out the administration for the Lead Practitioner Network for Trauma-Informed Schools across West Somerset, including booking venues and arranging travel. You will liaise with staff, students, other schools and external agencies, so excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, flexible approach to the changing needs of the school are essential. There will also be some supervision of children and assistance with clearing away at lunchtimes

Hours: 12 hours per week, Tue to Thur 11am - 3pm. Fixed Term to 31 Aug 2021)

Salary: Actual £4,807pa based on FT equivalent grade 17)

1:1 Teaching Assistant

Spaxton C of E Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated One to One Teaching Assistant to assist the SENDCO, and teachers in the development of a programme of work and in the provision of a stable, caring and supportive learning environment, which enables students to achieve their full potential and facilitate their social and moral development.


In addition, the post holder will work with teaching staff in implementing and developing educational opportunities to maximise the learning potential of students with Additional Educational Needs and provide supervision, support and care to students with additional or special educational needs, disabilities and/or learning difficulties, working in a 1:1 situation.

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 8.30 am - 3.30 pm Mon to Fri

Term time only 38 weeks.

Fixed term to August 2022. 

Salary: Actual £13,544 based on FT equivalent £18,562 (grade 15)
